Cashew Seeds / Anacardium occidentale / Cashew nuts / Seeds for planting
The cashew apple and seeds are produced by the cashew tree, an evergreen tropical tree. With earlier maturity and higher yields, the tree can reach heights of up to 8 meters. We offer for sale tree seeds that can be used to develop trees.
Cashew trees are truly tropical and extremely vulnerable to frost. Despite the cashew's ability to resist high temperatures, a monthly mean temperature of 25 °C is said to be ideal. 1 000 millimeters of annual precipitation is sufficient for production, but 1 500 to 2 000 mm can be thought of as ideal. The cashew tree can withstand drought because its root system is strong.
How to Germinate
You can develop cashew trees from seeds, by air layering, or by grafting. You will need a developed unscheduled nut in order to grow it from seeds (seed). These seeds have a four-month shelf life.
If you have freshly harvested seed from the tree, dry it in the sun for three days before soaking it in water for an overnight soak.
The seeds will germinate in 4 to 3 weeks if sown in high-quality seed starting medium.
Depending on the climate, germination could take two to three months. Do not lose heart. During the summer, keep it damp, and in the winter, keep it somewhat humid.
