The iridescence on this beautiful half-size fan shaped deviled egg plate is stunning! It will display beautifully on your wall or table. The center is raised up on one side to form a convenient handle. Not much is known about the origin of this egg plate. In her book, Ruby Glass of the 20th Century, Naomi L. Over shows one in dark ruby red and said it was made by the L E Smith Glass Company for Home Party Sales, and that few were made. She bought hers from the Levay Company in Illinois. This color does look the same as the color of an L E Smith red carnival bowl I have that was made in the 1980s-90s.
There are 6 hollows for deviled eggs. This small egg plate is unused and like new in condition.
This egg dish is 9 1/4 inches long, 6 3/8 inches wide, 1 inch tall, and the handle area is 1 1/2 inches tall. It weighs 1 pound 3.2 ounces. This will be shipped (insured, with signature required) by UPS or USPS.
