LOT OF TWO 1940's Valley Bread Promotional Comics!! $40.00 OBO!!
Each of these is 7" long by 3 1/2" tall and neither is listed in the Overstreet Price Guide!! These are almost akin to the size of March of Comics.
TEX TAYLOR in "Draw or Die, Cowpoke!" is from 1948 or 1949, as close as I can tell. The Character began in 1947/48 by Timely (Marvel) Comics and that Title ran a total of nine issues...! There is a clean tear at the top that runs through the green smoke and a tiny tear at the bottom between the K & E of "Cowpoke" n the front cover. Besides these small infractions, the graphics are clean and colorful and all pages are complete!!
WACKY QUACKY in "All Aboard" seems also to be from 1949. Again, there is no definitive info in the Overstreet guide. ebay has several up that run from $10.00 in FN to $25.00 in VF/NM. This has a small chip out at the very top o the front cover between the C and K of "Wacky".The colors are bright and all else is excellent!!
