This vintage 1950s Buchan of Scotland Thistleware oil cruet bottle is in great condition; with no chips, cracks or crazing on it.

The front side of the bottle has the larger thistle design on it with the letter O painted above it, meaning it is bottle to hold cooking oil.
The back side of the cruet bottle has a smaller thistle design painted on it.

The stoneware and cork stopper still fits snug in the bottle, but a very slight amount of the cork is missing along the bottom of the cork.

The bottom edge of the stoneware part of the stopper has a few small rough places on it that look like they occurred during manufacturing of the cruet bottle.

The cruet bottle is 5.25 inches tall, including the stopper and the bottle is 3 inches in diameter at it's widest point.

The bottom of the stoneware bottle is marked with: Buchan; Portobello Scotland; 256-5; M2M-50.
