This is a rare unread vintage and out of print copy of IT'S A GAY, GAY, GAY WORLD (102) written by GUY FAULK in 1968 for the TWILIGHT CLASSICS series of gay pulp paperback books published GUILD PRESS and distributed by POTOMAC NEWS COMPANY. 127+ pages in length.
“This is the poor man's Myra Breckinridge. Faulk knows Hollywood, especially the Hollywood of 1935.
His narrator, whom is more narratress than anything else, is nameless, and it's just as well. He tells us about his trek to Cinemaland in 1935, when he was blond and 21. What could be more pleasant than to share an apartment with two butch cowboy actors?
His account is in the vein of Ray Bourbon, Kenneth Marlowe and assorted other bitches-in-the-know. As he-she settles at Malibu, he accumulates enough anecdotes and wry-gay observations to fill several volumes of New Yorker cartoons, if that publication were interested in that sort of thing. There's the story, more or less, so let's have a few good quotes: "Many of these happily married queens try to tell me that the men aren't men if they will go for me, but that isn't true: the more MEN they are and the higher the sex drive, the more apt they are to go for any port in a storm and if they aren't screwing some babe or getting blowed, or browny-banditing some willowy little faggot, they are off in a corner jerking off and none of these activities makes them any less a man.
I would clasp a firm buttock in each hand and bury myself in ecstasy . . .
. Then, grasping me by the waist,
he lifted me as easily as though I were a child and placed me squarely on the stake. I felt like a flagpole sitter.. Oh, it tain't the light in his eyes any more, but the tilt of his kilt I adore…"
Due to recent delivery issues with the USPS I now ship all items via Priority Mail. The below-cost price for U.S. customers is $9.90 for the first item and an additional $2.00 for each item thereafter. $50 of insurance is included in this price.
