Launched in 2019, Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco Edition cologne is an amazing scent with surprising depths and compelling secrets buried in a tantalizing fragrance. It’s intensely masculine but never harsh; a beast of a cologne with fantastic longevity and stunning sillage. A true value in a bottle, it’s distinctly reminiscent of very expensive fragrances, yet a few squirts will last up to 16 hours. The top opens with exotic, bracing ginger and piquant black pepper, then settles into spicy cinnamon and a fascinating variant of rich tobacco. The heart is intensely intriguing with sweet tonka bean and vanilla, aromatic clove, bitter star anise, sensuous cacao and herbal incense. The drydown is gorgeous, gently gliding into a sweet, dry fruit cocktail, then filling out with a wet woody blend and a milder, sweeter tobacco.
