A good quality portable brass sundial in a brass trimmed wooden box
It is a grand thing, of excellent quality, with an internal compass so that you can set it properly.
The box measures about 4.25 or 10.5cm square, and stands 2.25 inches or 6cm tall.
The Sundial has a diameter of just over 3 inches or 8cm, stands about 1.25 inches or 3cm tall, without the arms raised, 2.75 inches or 7cm with the arms raised.
It stands on three adjustable feet, so that you can get it level
Marked, Hatton Garden, London, it is a reproduction of an original boxed portable sundial produced in about the mid 19th century or so.
A wonderful, good quality, fully functional piece, not some piece of cheap tat..........
