Description: Victorian Trade Card - CHOCOLAT D'AIGUEBELLE
Pretty vintage French advertising card for Chocolat d'Aiguebelle featuring a what appears to be a farm house beside a curving dirt road. The scene is framed by branches of multicolored flowers.
The back is covered with what appears to be a brief history (in French, of course) for the product and the Trappist monastery which produces it.
Size: approx. 3.5" x 5"
Date: Not dated.
Lithographer: Not identified.
Condition: Fair, I'd say. The front of this card is lightly soiled, while the back has some noticeable glue residue and staining. The edges and corners are somewhat worn, there are two tears in the top edge (approx. 1/4" and 5/8"), and both lower corners have small creases. (Please see scans.)
