THIÉRY ÂINÉ ET SIGRAND Victorian Trade Card - boys fishing in the Seine, Paris
Description: Victorian Trade Card - THIÉRY ÂINÉ ET SIGRAND - Bordeaux, France
Interesting vintage French advertising card captioned "LA PÊCHE". It features several boys beside the Seine in Paris. One group of three seems to be planting some seedlings in a big pile of sand, while two others are fishing. There are a couple barges tied up just behind the boys, as well as a large bridge in the background.
The back is devoted to advertising (in French, of course) for what seems to be a clothing store.
Size: approx. 2.375" x 3.5"
Date: Not dated (but must be 1894 or later)
Lithographer: H. Laas et Cie, Paris
Condition: Good, I'd say. This card is lightly soiled, with slightly worn edges and rounded corners. There's a small tear (~3/8") in the right edge. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
