Description: Victorian Trade Card - CHOCOLAT-LOUIT - Louit Freres & Co., Bordeaux, France

Humorous vintage French advertising card for Chocolat-Louit featuring a soldier who jumps up from a bench to salute a passing officer. Unfortunately, this has caused his lady friend to tumble off the other end of the bench when it becomes unbalanced. The card is captioned "Equilibre rompu".

The back is covered with advertising (in French, of course) for the company's product.

Condition: Very good, I'd say. This card is only lightly soiled, with some mild glue residue on the back. The edges and corners are slightly worn. (Please see scans.)
