Description: Victorian Trade Card - CHOCOLAT POULAIN

Very attractive French advertising card showing various elegantly dressed people enjoying a pleasant day in a plaza. One couple is studying a large poster advertising Chocolat Poulain. Another is getting into or out of a two-horse carriage, while a woman carrying a red umbrella is talking to a young girl holding a hoop.

The back has typical advertising (in French, of course) for the product.

Lithographer: Not identified.

Condition: Good, I'd say. The front of this card is only lightly soiled, but there's some overall glue staining and residue on the back, along with a small chunk of hard brown glue. The upper left corner has a small diagonal crease. (Please see scans.)
