1891 LION COFFEE Victorian Trade Card - Midsummer - little girl, chickens, fruit
Description: Victorian Trade Card - LION COFFEE - Woolson Spice Co., Toledo, Ohio
Very pretty card offered as a "MIDSUMMER GREETING" for 1891. The front features a pretty little girl reaching across a bundle of straw to get to a basket of fruit, while several caged chickens keep an eye on her efforts. There appears to be a farmhouse in the background.
The back tells folks to BUY LION COFFEE if they want a picture card like this. The number "4" appears in the lower left corner.
Size: approx. 4.75" x 7"
Date: 1891
Lithographer: Joseph P. Knapp, Lith., N.Y.
Condition: Very good, I'd say. This card is only lightly soiled, with somewhat worn edges and rounded corners. There are diagonal creases across the upper left and lower right corners, and a tiny tear in the top margin. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
