This item is a rare and vintage CALIFORNIA DREAM MACHINE PRODUCTIONS publication titled YOUR COCK UP MY ASS which features photography from the 1985 PHILIP ST. JOHN film "GETTING IT" starring DAVID ASHFIELD, JESSE KOEHLER, JON KING and JIM BENTLEY.
"Jesse Koehler walks up on the peeping Randy and force feeds him his cock, then Jon King and David Ashfield do the same. All three then pick Randy up and carry him into the same bedroom where Bobby and Kurt were fucking."
Anyone familiar with gay porn during the late 70s and early 80s will immediately recognize the phrase "In the William Higgins Tradition..."
While it doesn't really mean anything, it does sound marvelously grand. His films codified the "California aesthetic--called the "William Higgins tradition" in promotional box covers--of slender twinks, generally blond young men in the outdoors, hiking, surfing the Pacific Coast Highway, at rodeos, or on the beach. He launched the careers of a whole new generation of major porn stars in the 1980's--among them Kip Noll ( also know as Kip Knoll ), Leo Ford, Lance. J. W. King, Jon King, Derrick Stanton, John Davenport, Jeff Quinn, and Kevin Williams.
Gay men have always fetishized masculinity and seen straight guys as real guys. A large percentage of gay men see heterosexual men as more masculine than gay men. According to Higgins, gay men want to see straight guys but imagine them as gay, which is partly why 90 percent of the men he uses in his films are heterosexuals, or at least "that's what they like to call themselves. Higgins also likes to recruit men who have typically never done porn or had sex with men before and market their inexperience as an asset, not a drawback. To this day, he enjoys filming the first-timers, especially if they don't really like it. He zooms in on their faces clenched in pain. It makes it real, Higgins says.
I’m selling my collection of vintage 1960-1980s gay pulp paperback novels, pictorial & hardcore magazines, physique photography, magazines & artwork.
