Realized with the "freezing technique" to obtain the ice effect in some areas of the pictorial surface, this technique consisted in placing the still fresh painting in the real cold and then working it later. This effect was created by the painter Pancaldi and occurs in many of his works especially in the maturity phase. Author: Gaetano Pancaldi (Piumazzo of Castelfranco Emilia, 1922-2014). The representation of nature and daily life were among the favorite subjects of the artist who was very active and well-known in the Modena area because of his activity as graphic poster artist for the Communist Party of Modena and the numerous exhibitions held. Tireless painter, Pancaldi worked until the last years with unchanged passion.
