Mansfield Action Editor Portable 8mm Model P-950!
Vintage MANSFIELD 8mm Editor Viewer Little Gem Splicer. The editor viewer is model P-950 and is compatible with 8mm movie film. The editor viewer is a great mid century design made of Die-Cast aluminum and painted a taupe color. The left and right rewind arms swivel outward and there is a small viewer screen. It uses a 30 watt lamp. The film is manually fed either forward or reverse using the rotating knobs on the rewind arms.
There is a focusing knob on the left side of the viewer case and a framing knob below the film track and right in front of the splicer. This viewer is also equipped with the Marex Film Saver sprocket. On the inside of the viewer is stamped the manufacturing date "Jan 1958" A Mansfield Little Gem splicer is attached to the base. The splicer Patent 2,611,723 was issued September 23, 1952. The splicer is designed for 8 mm and 16 mm film. The splicer is made of work hardened stainless steel.
