Description: Victorian Trade Card / Bookmark - MATCHLESS SHAW PIANOS - Shaw Piano Co., Erie, Pa.

Here's a cute old trade card in the form of a bookmark advertising Matchless Shaw Pianos, manufactured by the Shaws Piano Co. of Erie, Pennsylvania. It features a young boy wearing a tam-o-shanter and knee-length pants. He appears to be staring at a small butterfly which has landed on his finger.

There's no printing on the back.

Size: approx. 5.5"x 2.375"

Date: Not dated.

Lithographer: Not identified.

Condition: Just good, I'd say. The front of the card is only lightly soiled, but the back has noticeable damage from scrapbook removal, both paper lifting and extraneous paper remnants. The edges and corners are just slightly worn. (Please see scans.)
