Realized with the "freezing technique" to obtain the crystallization of some areas of the pictorial surface, this technique consisted in placing the still fresh painting in the real cold and then working it later. This effect was created by the painter Pancaldi in the early 1960's and refined throughout his career until reaching the extraordinary results of the paintings of the 80s and 90s. Author: Gaetano Pancaldi (Piumazzo of Castelfranco Emilia, 1922-2014). The representation of nature and daily life were among the subjects preferred by the artist who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his activity as graphic poster designer for the Communist Party of Modena and the numerous exhibitions held. Tireless painter, Pancaldi worked until the last years with unchanged passion.
