Sterling Silver Spoon engraved Sacret Heart Dover NJ with picture of the church engraved in the bowl of the spoon. Gorgeous textured pattern with Holy Bible, cross, bird and lilies on stem. Ornate. Textured. Length: 5 1/4" Stamped: P & B Sterling The P&B mark actually stands for Paye & Baker Manufacturing Co. of North Attleboro, MA, a firm owned by Charles T. Paye and Frank L. Baker. P&B was the successor of another firm, Simmons & Paye, which was started c.1896 in Providence, RI. After a change in managing partners c.1901, the firm became Paye & Baker, and production was moved to North Attleboro c.1903. Ayer Mass is about 1 hour away from North Attleboro. P&B made sterling silver flatware (often advertised as “fancy spoons and forks”,) sterling souvenir spoons, silver jewelry, and small novelty items like hatpins, dresser items, and sterling silver picture frames.
