1933 Atlantic City, New Jersey - Auditorium and Convention Hall by Night - LINEN Postcard
Here's a very nice unused linen postcard featuring the Atlantic City, NJ Convention Center. Caption at the top bears the number "10" and reads "ATLANTIC CITY AUDITORIUM AND CONVENTION HALL BY NIGHT, ATLANTIC CITY, N.J." Caption at the bottom reads "LARGEST CONVENTION HALL IN THE WORLD, SEATING CAPACITY 40,000, BALL ROOM 5,000" and also bears the number "3A-H1236" in the lower right margin. The back indicates that the card was from the "JERSEY SUPPLY COMPANY, ATLANTIC CITY, N.J." and also that it's a "GENUINE CURTEICH-CHICAGO "C.T. ART-COLORTONE" POST CARD".
The description on the back reads:
Large enough to seat all of Atlantic City's 66,000 people at one time, the Atlantic City Convention Hall is the scene of activities throughout the year. Occupying an entire city block, the main hall has no columns supporting the roof although it is 358 feet wide.
Size: 3½" x 5½"
Date: Not explicitly dated but the "3A-H1236" code seems to indicate it was produced in 1933
Condition: Very fine, I'd say. The card is unused with only very slight edge wear (see scans).
