Description: Here's a nice over-sized matchbook cover from D. B. Kaplan's, a delicatessen located on Water Tower Place in Chicago, Illinois. It quotes James Ward of the Chicago Sun Times saying that the place is "The Best Delicatessen In Chicago".
The inside touts the establishment's "Six Foot Sandwiches" and "Deli Trays".
It was produced by the Atlantis Match Co., Chicago, IL
Actual Size: approx. 2" x 2" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but I'm fairly certain it's from the mid-1990s
Condition: Good, I'd say. The cover is quite clean but the red color has faded slightly to light orange on the front. The striker strip shows no evidence of use. (Please see scans.)
