Solomon's seal is a great shade plant that produces small greenish-white dangling bell-shaped
flowers that hang from gracefully arching leafy stems in May and Jun.
Purple berries appear afterwards. Then in fall the leaves turn gold.
Plant seeds in sun or shade. Plant in late fall so seeds can go through a cold moist period
before germinating in the spring. Space 9-12" apart. Store
seeds in fridge until ready to plant. Germination can take up to 2 years, but is well worth the wait.
