Most money plant blooms a lighter fuchsia or pink color, but this rare dark purple variety is much different. You must try this new color. This fun novelty plant has great blooms in early spring... Though generally grown for dried arrangement, the spring flowers are also beautiful.

The seed pods develop into what looks like money growing on a plant. The money is actually the large flat seed pods, and are about the size of a quarter. They are used a great deal in decorating. The stems of seed pods are picked and made into arrangements. Often they are spray painted gold or silver.

They will reseed themselves if seeds are allowed to fall on the ground. If planted in the fall, they will bloom the next year. Otherwise blooms 2nd year from seed, then reseeds and blooms each successive year from there on.
