It's just so much fun trying to figure out how to make things better. My husband and I have traveled a bit and we like to try new things. We often stumble across things that we REALLY like and I generally try to re-create them and then try to make them just a little bit better (sometimes A LOT better!). I always experiment on my family first and of course they almost always like the stuff I make. If I get a good report from the kids, I'll pack it up and take it to work for the next set of guinea pigs. If they like it, I'm pretty sure I have something special. If I had a dime for every time someone told me "I'll pay you to make me some of this!" I wouldn't have to work my day job. What you see here is the result of all that.
Here we go again! Thurston and I are extremely fond of Buffalo hot wings, but the pre-made sauces are lacking for our tastes. This sauces came about from trial and error to find exactly what we were yearning for. It contains a little 'MamaMeg's' barbeque sauce, two varieties of hot sauces and chili sauce. Some chicken wings (or any other bird part) roasted with some of this sauce and served with blue cheese dip and crispy celery make a great munchie or a meal.
Though most often used as a seasoning sauce for chicken wings, there are may be other ways to enjoy this sauce. Can you say "Hoisin"? Dunk your chinese dumplings. Stir into cooked rice. Or add a few tablespoons to your favorite stir fry recipe. STUPID GOOD!
