Antique Vintage Needlework Pillow Front, Poppies Design
This work is approximately 17 inches square.
This piece is worked on a beige-colored linen. The fibers used are red, light and dark peach, and avocado green. It is done in embroidery, tapework, and punchwork.
The back is shattered, but I left it attached so the buyer can see what the original needleworker intended.
When I call it a pillow front, that is strictly conjecture. I also believe this item is about 100 years old.
