Schmid Rabbit Music Box Musical Bunny Rabbit Plays You Don't Bring Me Flowers No. 344 Made in Japan
This porcelain bunny rabbit musical figurine or music box was made by the Schmid Company.
The song that plays is titled You Don't Bring Me Flowers, a song that Neil Diamond recorded in 1978.
The porcelain rabbit is wearing a blue dress with several white petticoats under it.
She is wearing a dark yellow hat with a lavender colored ribbon on it and her purse is lavender and white.
When you hand turn the plastic stand that is attached to the porcelain figurine the song will start and the bunny rotates.
There isn't a switch to turn off the music, so it will play until it has totally unwound itself.
The porcelain bunny rabbit and base are in great condition; with no chips, cracks or crazing.
When You Don't Bring Me Flowers is playing, you can slightly hear the inside mechanism as the rabbit rotates.
I don't know if that is typical of Schmid music boxes or not.
The musical bunny rabbit figurine or music box is 6.5 inches tall and the porcelain base is 3.75 inches in diameter.
The plastic base that you turn is 2.75 inches in diameter.
The musical bunny rabbit figurine still has it's paper hang tag hung around her neck.
One side of the tag is marked Schmid and the back side is marked with: This music box is a precision instrument. Please handle with care. Do not overwind!
There is a thin piece of wood attached to the bottom of the figurine that hides the musical mechanism inside the figurine.
The wood is stamped in one place with Hand painted, Schmid.
There is a paper sticker attached to the wood piece that is under the plastic stand that is difficult to see.
The sticker reads: You Don't Send Me Flowers; Schmid; No. 344; Japan.
The plastic base is marked JAPAN in the center and there is a partial price tag attached.
