Description: Victorian Greeting Card - Easter - L. Prang & Co., Boston

Nice large Prang Easter card featuring a young girl wearing a pink dress and wide-brimmed hat, admiring a small blue bird in the branches of what might be a dogwood tree in bloom. A verse on the front of the card reads:

"Bird and brook and child rejoice
In the EASTER gladness,
In the Life that follows Death:
Joy that follows sadness."

The back features a trellis entwined with more flowering branches.

Size: approx. 8½" x 4¼"

Date: 1882

Lithographer: L. Prang & Co., Boston

Condition: Very good, I'd say. The card is generally only lightly soiled, though it does appear to have some very faint staining at the upper left corner. There's a tiny pinhole in the margin at the top center and a large diagonal crease across the lower right corner. (Please see scans.)
