This card is from an original watercolor, by me, DS Irvin, titled "The Lucky Star Which Shields Against Illness and Evil."
Most of my cards come with a small story, written at the time the original artwork is created. This is printed on the backs of the cards, along with the title of the piece and date it was created. They are hand signed "DS Irvin" which is how I sign my original prints and artwork and are hand numbered. This is #5. The story for this artwork reads: "Black (for warding off evil and stalkers) and Red (for keeping illness at bay- but also can ward off evil spirits like Black as well as bring luck to romance like Pink) Nekos are poised on their golden cushions as they both support a very lucky star. Their golden skull mascots are eager to help on their quest as they float in the night sky which is filled with gold and white stars."
This ACEO (which stands for Art Cards, Editions & Originals) measures the standard 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" and is laminated. I choose to laminate cards which are prints and don't include any hand enhancing or painting as it makes them far more durable, increasing their longevity, and enriches the colors.
This card was printed with a color laser printer on acid free cover stock. The ghosted watermark does not appear on the actual print.
