Here’s a 60-track, 3-hour, 3-CD set from Reader's Digest that chronicles the best of this Frankie Laine’s prolific 60-year career - all in one expansive collection.

Working mostly with Columbia Records, Reader's Digest licensed eight songs, including most of his Top Ten hits from PolyGram's Mercury Records, for which he recorded in the late '40s and early '50s. They also licensed 15 songs recorded in the '70s, '80s, and '90s -- from Laine himself, including a re-recording of his big hit, "You Gave Me a Mountain," and such curiosities as a 1986 version of "Fever" that finds Laine backed by synthesizer sounds and electric rock guitar.

The first disc is "Frankie's Greatest Hits," the second features his Country & Western hits including Rawhide and the third features romantic and nostalgic songs. (See complete track listing below).

Short of the much more expensive Bear Family box sets, this is the most comprehensive Frankie Laine collection available, in mint condition and at an attractive price.

Contains a booklet with liner notes that were written by Frankie Laine himself
