1980s KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA - First Space Shuttle on Launch Pad - Unused Postcard
Here's a very nice semi-vintage unused postcard showing the first Space Shuttle on its launch site Pad A at Complex 39 of NASA's John F. Kennedy Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It doesn't name the Shuttle, but the first one was obviously "Columbia".
The card was published by "Smith Card Co., 2808 Sanbina St., Winter Park, FL 32789." It carries code number "166505".
Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"
Date:: Not dated, but I believe it's from the early 1980s, certainly no earlier than 1981
Condition: Excellent, I'd say. The card is unused, with clean, fresh colors and no noticeable edge wear. (Please see scans.)
