Wonderful pair of "OCCUPIED JAPAN" chalk ware or bisque wall hangings. Items from "Occupied Japan" were items exported during the occupation of Japan from 1945 to 1952. "Occupied Japan" items are highly collectible as a category.
These hangings are of a Dutch woman carrying baskets of flowers (7 1/4" tall x 4" wide x 1 1/4" deep) and a Dutch boy carrying water buckets (7 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" wide x 1" deep). Both have a hole in the back so they can be hung on a wall.
Both are in EXCELLENT condition. No repairs, breaks, cracks or chips. Slight crazing as indicative of age. Both are CLEARLY marked! We've taken several High Resoluttion Photos for your inspection.
Would make a wonderful addition to an "occupied Japan" collection or a dutch figurine collection.
