Description: Here's a vintage standard-sized matchbook cover from the Waltham Savings Bank, located on Main Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. It claimed to be "Waltham's Only Mutual Savings Bank", with "Over a Century of Service". "Our Purpose: TO RECEIVE AND INVEST SAFELY THE SAVINGS OF THE PEOPLE".

The inside lists the services the bank offered: Regular Savings Accounts, School Savings Accounts, All-Purpose Club Accounts, Christmas Club, Mortgage Loans, Register Checks, Travelers Cheques, Savings Bank Life Insurance and Collateral Loans.

Date: Not dated, but I believe it's from the 1950s or 1960s

Condition: Just fair, I'd say. The cover is a bit dirty and has several small holes punched through it, along with several small dents. The striker strip area has noticeable damage from the careless removal of the staple that held the matches. There's also an additional pinhole which passes through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
