Vintage set of 5 Handmade Guatemalan Dolls Bright Fabrics Wrapped Wire 5 inches
Here is a set of five handmade Guatemalan dolls, each standing 5 to 5-1/2 inches tall. Their heads are made from wooden beads, and their bodies are made from wrapped wire. Hidden nails secure them to their wood block bases. Each doll is beautifully dressed in clothing made from brightly woven fabric, and carries a little bouquet.
I bought these dolls secondhand, and the lady who sold them to me said they had been a gift from a friend, who bought them in Guatemala in the 1970s. She kept them in a glass case to keep them clean and pretty. I have no way to verify her story, but I see no reason to doubt her either.
