BOSTON TOWN AND COUNTRY CLUBS - Boston, Massachusetts - Vintage Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a vintage standard-sized matchbook cover from The Boston Town and Country Clubs of Boston, Massachusetts. The two clubs were the Commonwealth Country Club of Chestnut Hill and The Boston Club of Beacon Hill. The front of the matchbook has a coat-of-arms which appears to show a club house and a putting green with flag stick.
There's no printing on the inside.

Actual Size: approx. 2" x 1.5" (closed)
Date: Not dated.
Condition: Just fair, I'd say. The cover is rather worn and dirty, and there's some damage to the striker strip area, likely from rough removal of the staple that held the matches. There's also an additional set of staple holes which pass through the striker strip and the back of the cover. (Please see scans.)
