THE VILLAGER Restaurant - Norwich, Vermont - Vintage Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a vintage standard-sized matchbook cover advertising The Villager Restaurant, located in Norwich, Vermont. It claimed to be "Just a Little Different", "Featuring Home Cooking", from "Paul R. Lynch, Prop.". The back carries a picture of a cowgirl and her horse, described as "THOROUGHBREDS".
There's no printing on the inside.
Produced by Mercury Match, Zanesville, Ohio
Actual Size: approx. 2" x 1.5" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but appears to be from the 1960s, or perhaps earlier.
Condition: Good, I'd say. The cover is just a bit soiled and the striker shows at least some limited usage. There's also a bit of damage to the striker strip area, likely from the removal of the staple that held the matches, along with an additional set of staple holes which go through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
