  • Description
Here's a nice vintage scenic postcard featuring the Old North Church in Boston, Massachusetts, from "Ektachrome by Lockwood Studios". In the foreground is a statue that I believe shows Paul Revere on his horse.

The description on the back says: "From the steeple were displayed Paul Revere's signal lanterns telling of the advance of the British upon the Colonists."

"One if by land, and two if by sea,
and I on the opposite shore will be,
ready to ride and spread the alarm
through every Middlesex Village and farm."

The card is identified as "Lusterchrome", made only by Tichnor Bros., Inc., Boston 15, Mass. It carries the number "K-5601".

Size: approx. 5½" x 3½"

Date: Not dated, but probably from the 1950s.

Condition: Good, I'd say. The card is unused, with very only slight edge wear. The colors on the front are fresh and bright, but the back shows a modest amount of foxing toward the right side. (Please see scans.)

MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
