Offered is a hardcover copy, with its dust jacket, of Theodora Kroeber and Robert F Heizer's book, ALMOST ANCESTORS The First Californians. published in 1968 by the Sierra Club. Brown cloth covers the boards and spine, embossed gilt text decorates the front cover and spine. Approximately 8 3/4" x 11 1/4" with 168 pages with 117 black and white photos.
The book is in good condition, given age. There is some foxing in a few places: the opening edges of the pages, and the first page, before the first half title page. There is some waving in first few pages along the binding like water might cause, however there is no real evidence of water damage; I think this happened in the manufacturing. Other than this, the book is in great condition, binding tight, pages clean and corners sharp. Even the dust jacket is in good condition, with only one tear, a little bending and folding.
