Rare dark turquoise (teal) carved bakelite buckle. This is a gorgeous buckle - nice and thick with carved accents. Turquoise bakelite is one of the rarest to find, most bakelite pieces are not their original manufactured colors. Turquoise typically has turned to green, whites turn to cream corn etc... this is more teal than turquoise, absolutely fabulous! The carving really does not stand out much, I'm sure when this was lighter in color, the accents were more prominent. Condition is Excellent, this has been tested, polished and ready for your enjoyment. Perfect for belts, scarves and a unique accent piece for modern jewelry designs. 2.5" x 2"
