Vintage CANDLESTICK FLOWER ARRANGERS - Boxed Set of 2
Description: Vintage, but highly useful, pair of patented cups designed to fit around the base of standard tapered candles and hold the flower arrangement of your choice, either fresh-cut or artificial. Each clear plastic cup is fitted with a removable perforated "turn-lock" disk which anchors flowers and foliage securely.
Manufactured by Candlestick Flower Arranger, Inc., Box 188, White Plains, New York 10602.
Size: approx. 2¾" diameter by 1¾" high
Date: Not dated anywhere that I can see. The U.S. patent (#2,876,587) for these was apparently issued in 1959, while the company's address on the box does include a Zip Code, so probably from the 1960s.
Condition: The 2 holders themselves are in excellent, perhaps even unused, condition. The shiny, gold-colored box is intact but is a bit scuffed and scratched on the outside, with a small area on one end where a price sticker was apparently once affixed.
