Solomon’s Seal, Polygonatum canaliculatum, is an impressive four-to-five foot native perennial with large leaves on unbranched arching stems. Tubular flowers that hang from each node. Zones 3-9, where colonies spread quickly. Wonderful at the edge of a moist woodland to provide a transition. It is an essential architectural plant for the woodland garden and will do well in deep shade. Long winded germination.


Other Names: Polygonatum commutatum, Polygonatum biflorum.

The Rare Heirloom Wild Caigua Achocha seeds come nicely packaged. I'm excited to try growing them as I've heard great things about their flavor. The instructions for planting were easy to follow. Just hoping they germinate well, as some rare seeds can be hit or miss. If successful, these could be a unique addition to my garden.
