THE HORSEMAN'S ENCYCLOPEDIA Margaret Cabell Self 1946 HC/DC
Offered is a copy of Margaret Cabell Self's book, THE HORSEMAN'S ENCYCLOPEDIA. This copy is from 1946, with green cloth boards and black embossed lettering front and spine. Exactly what it sounds like, Ms. Self has, using established information from noted authorities, taken aspects of horse ownership and discussed them in words and illustrations in encyclopedic form...a to z. Appendix, Bibliography and Index are included. Approximately 6 1/4" x 9 1/4", with 519 pages, illustrated, dust cover is included.
The book itself is in pretty good condition, considering its age. There is a bookplate on the front end paper. The bottom of the spine appears to have sustained a bang, along with the bottom corners of the cover. That said, the binding is still tight. The pages are clean inside, though there is light foxing along the edges. The dust cover has seen better days; there are lots of tears and folds, soiling and missing chips see the two pictures provided for some idea.
Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for considering this book!
