APOCALYPSE NOW remastered & HEARTS OF DARKNESS Laserdiscs Francis Ford Coppola
Offered is a lot including the remastered digital surround sound version of Francis Ford Coppola's 1979 hit movie APOCALYPSE NOW on two laser discs. In color, 153 minutes on 4 sides in digital surround sound. This movie was mastered from the 35 MM interpositive and the original EK negative under the supervision of Vittorio Storaro. Comes with an original offer for a follow-up HEARTS OF DARKNESS disc for $19.95. In addition, this lot includes the HEARTS OF DARKNESS A Filmmakers Apocalypse laserdisc, released in 1991, one disc, in color, approximately 96 minutes, rated R and closed captioned.
All of the discs look fine to me, though I don't have a player to test them on. The Apocalypse Now outer jacket shows typical wear and tear, light rubbing on the surface of the paper, heavier on the corners and edges - especially at the bottom. The Hearts of Darkness sleeve shows light ringwear, a couple of bends on the back lower edge (front is relatively smooth), but is in very good condition otherwise.
