For sale is a copy of GLORIANA: THE YEARS OF ELIZABETH I by Mary M Luke, the third in a series of books she wrote about England's Tudor dynasty. Published by Coward McCann and Geoghegan of New York in 1973. 734 Pages with photos, illustrations on the end pages represent the coronation (front end page) and the funeral procession (back end page). Red cloth covered boards with gilt embossed signature; gilt text on the spine. Elizabeth was the second daughter of Henry VIII with his second wife, Anne Boleyn; the third of his children to ascend to the throne of England. A very strong woman, the good Queen Bess led England and Ireland through tumultuous times, leaving a stronger empire than the one she inherited. Upon her death, she had made an arrangement for succession that ultimately united Scotland with England.

This book is in good condition, though not perfect. It lacks the dust cover, and shows some wear. The cover is a little soiled; the binding is strong, but has obviously been read, studied might be a better term. I see no writing in the book, no noticeable bent pages or creases.
