In 1997 in San Francisco the Council for the Summer of Love sponsored an all day event in the Beach Chalet Meadow in Golden Gate Park. When Paul and Linda Eastman McCartney heard, they contacted Chet Helms to offer support: http://www.sfmuseum.net/hist6/mccartney.html
Early in 1998 (April 19) Linda passed, and the Unity Foundation as a part of the Council organized a small memorial in the courtyard of San Francisco's Cannery at Fisherman's Wharf. The event was held on Mother's Day - May 10, 1998, and featured performances by local Jazz great, John Handy, and Terry Garthwaite of the Joy of Cooking, along with poetry readings and speeches.
The flyer features images of Linda, taken by Linda; courtesy of the Fahey Klein Gallery, LA. This flyer is two sided, please note that the image above shows both the front and back. http://www.summeroflove.org/linda.html This flyer is on cardstock with a matte finish. It is in pristine condition, and would look great framed or perhaps as part of a larger piece of art.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for considering this flyer!
