MYCENAE - EPIDAURUS TIRYNS - NAUPLION Nicos Papahatzis Greek Archaeology Sites
Offered is a travel book about parts of Greece: MYCENAE - EPIDAURUS TIRENS - NAUPLION Heraion of Argos - Argos - Asine - Lerna - Troezen. It appears that this book was credited to Nicos Papahatizis: Archaeologist, and likely that it is published in Greece, in the English language. This is, I believe, a book sold at one or all of these sites to assist tourists to better appreciate them. The cover is paper, heavier than most paperbacks, created with an inside flap that folds inward to make the cover stronger. The cover is illustrated front and back with objects of ancient Grecian art, the spine and front also have white text against a black background. The inner flaps seem to tell about other available travel guides. Approximately 6 3/4" x 8 3/8" with 150 pages, richly illustrated in color and drawings, and a pasted in map of Mycenae showing the reconstruction of prehistoric edifices.
This book is in very good condition overall: the pages inside appear clean, the binding is still firm. The surface of the cover shows some wear in the form of light scratches in the plastic laminate, dents and small creases caused by handling. The map in the back has a small tear, about half an inch at the top. There is light wear along the edges of the cover, the top and bottom of the spine have small to medium bangs, though it could be part of the manufacturing.
Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for considering this book![! identifier_exists:false!]
