Offered is a copy of the Watson-Guptill Famous Artists Series book, DEGAS PASTELS by Alfred Werner. The paperback cover is illustrated on the front with The Singer in Green and some text in aqua and black, the back with further text and promotion about other books in this series, and the spine with black text on white. Approximately 10 1/4" x 11" with 88 pages, 32 full page color reproductions, a chronology, bibliography and index. Collections represented include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The National Gallery of Art, The Boston Museum of Fine Art, the Chicago Art Institute, The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art. This copy was printed in 1999.

This book is in good condition, would be very good except that it has been damaged a little on the upper edge. The cover and first few pages appear to have been hit with something dinging the edge along the front edge, closer to the spine. This damage extends to only 3 or 4 sheets of paper in the book and the cover. The pages inside are clean, the binding is tight, the corners and edges show light shelf wear beyond the damage noted, and the cover surface shows fine scratches and light soiling.
