ABSOLUT A LA CARTE A LA PARK was held on Labor Day weekend of 1997 (August 30, 31 & September 1). The event featured the specialties from 40 of San Francisco's finest restaurants, beer and wine tastings, and some great music. This poster commemorated the 13th year of this event which was always a benefit for the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival and Project Open Hand. The cost of samplings was to be $0.50 to $5.

This year's music included such performers as Indigo Swing, Keb' Mo, Sista Monica, Pete Escovedo, Spyro Gyra, Junior Wells and Emmylou Harris.

This poster was taken down from a store window, I believe, and is in fairly good condition for the most part, though there is some damage, likely caused when it was taken down, the worst of which is in the upper left hand corner. There is one spot, above the B in ABSOLUT where the red background was damaged a little, a line approximately 1/4" long. There are a few other minor dings, but no real tears or holes, or significant dirt on the front, there are two places on the back where a piece of tape was removed and took with it the surface of the paper, and a piece of the tape that held it up. This poster measures 14" x 24", printed on heavy stock.
