A TRIBUTE TO JANIS JOPLIN Roxie Cinema poster '96 Big Brother & the Holding Co

On Nov 7, 1996 San Francisco's own Big Brother & the Holding Co., the band that backed Janis Joplin during her rapid ascension to stardom, with Tony Seldin, the Vagabond Poet, put on a show at the Roxie Cinema. The show featured 2 films, "Come Up the Years" a film made at KQED studios in 1967 and "Comin' Home" a studio recording made by D A Pennebaker in 1968 made during Cheap Thrills sessions. After the films, the band took to the stage and performed for about half an hour, and then made themselves available to answer audience questions. Tony Seldin read a few of his poems in between films, and acted as MC.

This poster is new, taken from the bin on the front of the theater in Sep, 1996. Measuring 10 5/8" x 16 3/8", the poster is printed black ink on turquoise stock, of about the same weight as typing paper. Sorry for the lousy picture...the image is clearer than the pic shows.
