JOAN MIRร Carolyn Lanchner 1993 Museum of Modern Art New York HC/DJ Surrealism
Offered is a hardbound copy with its dust cover of JOAN MIRร by Carolyn Lanchner and published by the Museum of Modern Art, New York in 1993. Cream colored cloth covers the boards and binding, the front is embossed with the word Mirรณ, perhaps copying a signature; the spine is flat with black text, end papers are light blue-grey. The dust cover is illustrated with The Beautiful Bird Revealing the Unknown to a Pair of Lovers on the front,Self-Portrait I on the back, red and black text on the spine. Approximately 9 3/4" x 12 1/4" with 484 pages; 739 illustrations, 254 in color.
The book is in good condition, though the front cover corners have been banged and there is some pricing, in pencil, on the first half title page. Otherwise, the inside pages are fairly clean, the binding firm. The dust cover is lightly soiled generally with a line on the front which looks a little like shoe polish (?) in a line along the spine. Otherwise, the dust jacket shows typical shelf wear, with small tears along the edges, bends/folds and creases. There is light soil on the cover and edges of the pages, nothing too serious.
Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for considering this book!
