Offered is a hardcover book, both instructional and with illustrations, called THE TECHNIQUE OF FLOWER PAINTING in Oil, Water-Colour, and Paste lby Esther Borough Johnson with a foreword by A. Lys Baldry. Soft Orange cloth covers the boards and spine, the cover has embossed framing around gilt text, the spine is similar. Approximately 9" x 11" with 131 pages, prints are glued to the pages (suitable for framing if that were desired).
This book is probably from the first half of the last century, and is in great shape for that fact. the corners and top/bottom of the spine are well-worn, the cloth has been worn away here and there, though the corners are still square. The spine seems sunned. The front end paper has something pasted to it, perhaps a bookplate partly peeled off, and some pricing in pencil and a couple of spots of excess glue or something. It appears that the back end paper has a little waving due to water, seems to affect one adjacent page, but is minor. Overall a nice book.
