For sale is an early copy of AN ADVENTURER OF THE NORTHby Gilbert Parker, copyright 1895, this copy was printed in 1896 by John Wilson and Son at the University Press in Cambridge Mass for Stone and Kimball of NY. Green cloth covers the boards and spine, and gilt lettering can be found on the front, spine and back cover along with other gilt decorations including the Stone and Kimball corporate symbol. Interesting to note that the front and back covers are exactly the same (see the pics above). Approximately 5" x 7 3/4"; 218 pages with gold edging at the page tops.Unfortunately the book is old, and the front hinge is broken (see the last photo above for details), and the outer edges of the pages are drying out and frayed (second to last photo). There is a very small amount of pencil writing on the front end paper, and it appears that something had been glued on the same end paper and later removed.Let me know if you have any questions, or want to see more images, and thanks for considering this book!
